There are 3 types of Alliance Insignia:

  • Type I - "Mob"
  • Type II - "Faction"
  • Type III - "Union"

If you equip a single LT with two different types you get 1 additional ally, and a I, II and III to get 2 additional allies.

There are 4 different "Qualities" of Alliance Insignia:

  • Chipped
    • Epic - +1 of the insignia's skill per level, up to 15 levels. (=15 base stats)
    • Legendary - +2 of the insignia's skill per level, up to 15 levels. (=30 base stats)
  • Flawed
    • Epic - +2 of the insignia's skill per level, up to 15 levels. (=30 base stats)
    • Legendary - +3 of the insignia's skill per level, up to 15 levels. (=45 base stats)
  • Splendid
    • Epic - +3 of the insignia's skill per level, up to 15 levels. (=45 base stats)
    • Legendary - +4 of the insignia's skill per level, up to 15 levels. (=60 base stats)
  • Pure
    • Epic - +4 of the insignia's skill per level, up to 15 levels. (=60 base stats)
    • Legendary - +6 of the insignia's skill per level, up to 15 levels. (=90 base stats)

These insignia all have a red center, but might increase Attack, Defense, or Health.

There is no correlation between type, quality, and skill. For example, Pure Mob Alliance Set insignia might increase attack, defense, or health.

When combining Alliance insignia in sets, the quality does not impact the addition of allies. Only the combination of different types matters. Two different types gets +1 ally, three different types gets +2 allies.
